Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2025Effective: January 1, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CertifiedData.io (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

These terms apply to all users of the Platform, including visitors, registered users, and enterprise customers.

2. Description of Services

CertifiedData provides synthetic dataset generation, cryptographic certification, and artifact verification services. Specific capabilities depend on your subscription plan.

The Platform issues machine-verifiable certificates for synthetic datasets and AI artifacts. These certificates are cryptographic records — not legal opinions, compliance guarantees, or warranties of fitness.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. CertifiedData reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Platform to generate datasets containing real personal data, to misrepresent the synthetic origin of a dataset, or to circumvent the Platform's certification integrity.

You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract platform content, APIs, or certificate infrastructure without written authorization.

Commercial use of generated datasets and certificates is permitted subject to the terms of your applicable subscription plan.

5. Certification and Certificates

Certificates issued by CertifiedData are cryptographic artifacts that record dataset fingerprints, generation metadata, and digital signatures. They provide verifiable proof of synthetic origin.

Certificates are not guarantees of legal compliance, data quality, or fitness for any specific regulatory purpose. You are responsible for assessing whether certified data meets your compliance requirements.

CertifiedData does not retain copies of your generated datasets after delivery. Certificate metadata (hashes, signatures, timestamps) is logged to the public transparency log.

6. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed according to the pricing schedule in effect at the time of subscription. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

Dataset purchases are one-time fees. Subscription plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Intellectual Property

CertifiedData retains ownership of the Platform, its infrastructure, software, and cryptographic signing keys. Generated datasets, once delivered, belong to you.

Certificates issued by CertifiedData carry our digital signature. This signature may not be detached, forged, or misrepresented.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is." CertifiedData makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertifiedData's liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform is limited to the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration unless prohibited by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
